What is a Part 107 FAA License?
Anyone can own a drone. You can fly as a hobbyist for personal use or as a business. If you are hired (for payment of most types) you must hold a valid Part 107 FAA License. Businesses who hire for drone services must use a licensed drone pilot.
Part 107 is the section of federal air flight laws that regulate drone or unmanned aircraft systems.
Categories / types of drones?
There are 4 different categories of drones based on the weight. Category 1 are drones weigh under 250 grams or 0.55 lbs. Category 2 are larger and heavier and produce 11 ft-lbs (whatever that is) of kinetic energy. Category 3 are drone that can produce >25 ft-lbs of kinetic energy. Basically the heavier, the higher the category.
Are you insured?
Yes. Hopefully all drone businesses have drone insurance. Ask to see our certificate when we meet.
What are your terms and conditions?
We charge $100 an hour. Time starts from the time the drone is airborne to the final end of the shoot. Editing the video would also be charged at $100/hr. One hour minimum. Our drone can fly for about 25 min depending on speed and lines of travel.
You can provide us with a Micro SD Card or we will charge you the cost of our card we have purchase on Amazon. If you decide to provide the SD card, use a name brand, 8 gig or larger. The better, the better. What do the marking means? Click this link.
